IMPROVISER Torque Tools headed for Ivory Coast impROV’s unique IMPROVISER Self-Adjusting Class 1 – 4 Torque Tool is headed for deep water service offshore Ivory Coast during the installation of the Baobab Subsea Production System. impROV have received an order for two Torque Tools, a Surface Torque Analyser, an Extend / Retract Skid and Proportional Control System. The IMPROVISER allows operation of Class 1 – 4 torque interfaces without the need to change out end effecter sockets or motors, enabling operation of a wide range of subsea valves and other activities such as flying lead connections to be undertaken in a single dive. This is made possible by our unique self-adjusting end effecter and our proprietary Hi / Lo Torque bandwidth function which enables the user to achieve fine torque control with feedback between 15 and 2,700 Nm. This order is strategically significant for impROV in that it represents further penetration of the deep water West African oil and gas play.
