Management Team
Alan Duncan, Managing Director -
Alan has been involved in the Oil & Gas industry
for fourteen years, primarily focused on wellhead hardware and the associated
control systems and intervention equipment.
In the
twelve months prior to founding
impROV
Alan managed the Intervention Systems Group at Kvaerner Oilfield Products Ltd.
His responsibilities in that role were to manage a group of remote intervention
specialists including Engineers, Designers, Manufacturing & Service personnel
and a Sales Engineer.

Tim Gay, Director -
Tim has
16 years
Mechanical Design and Project Management experience at a senior level, combined
with 5 years Offshore ROV Operations. Specialist in Deepwater ROV installation,
maintenance and retrieval techniques.
He is
experienced in deepwater installation techniques, subsea control system design,
specialist ROV tooling and ROV intervention systems. Additionally he has direct
experience of ROV hydrodynamics and thruster design, electro - mechanical
systems, sealing technology, multiphase flow metering and light well
intervention systems.
Prior to
founding
impROV
Tim spent twelve years with Kvaerner Oilfield Products Ltd and it’s predecessor
FSSL, in a senior engineering role. He has been
involved in the engineering and project management of some significant subsea
equipments (most of which involved ROV deployed and operated tooling) including
the worlds first retrievable subsea Multi-Phase Flowmeter and the worlds first
“free flown” subsea Component Change-Out Tool.
Tim holds
a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, has Chartered status and is a member of the
Institute of Mechanical Engineers. In addition to
impROV
and KOP he has worked for such notable employers as Subsea Offshore.

John
Walker, Director –
John is a hugely experienced
design draughtsman, specialising in Remote Intervention Tooling Packages and the
interfacing of these packages with Subsea Production Systems.
Before founding
impROV
John spent 12 years with KOP and it’s predecessor FSSL
where he undertook or
supervised the drawing work on all the subsea tooling packages that Mr. Gay and
Mr. Richards designed.
Prior to joining KOP (FSSL),
John had fifteen years drawing office experience with Ferranti in Edinburgh.

Kevin
Chambers, Director –
Kevin
is a qualified Electrical Engineer who holds a B.Eng (Hons). Kevin has five years
experience of manufacturing and service activities relating to Remote Operated
Tooling packages and Subsea Control Systems. Prior to
founding
impROV
he spent four years within KOP
where he was focused on Remote Intervention tools exclusively.
Despite his qualification
being in 'Electrics' Kevin has an absolute command of practical mechanical
engineering, both in a manufacturing and service application.
